Landsat görüntüleri ile Adana yüzey ısı adası

open access: yesCoğrafi Bilimler Dergisi, 2015
The cities show different temperature characteristics than their surroundings. These different temperature conditions are called as “urban heat island (UHI)” when they are measured by the air temperature and as “surface heat island (SUHI)” when the ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Land-Use Planning and Satellite Imagery Used for Green Areas Protection – Case Study of the City of Łódź, Poland

open access: yesFolia Oeconomica Stetinensia, 2015
The article presents the issues of spatial planning on the case study of Łódź. Of significance in Łódź are its outer peripheries, which due to their natural value have become areas that must be protected and monitored in order to limit the anthropogenic ...

Natural and Anthropogenic Aerosol Trends from Satellite and Surface Observations and Model Simulations over the North Atlantic Ocean from 2002 to 2012

open access: yesJournal of the Atmospheric Sciences, 2016
Abstract Aerosols contribute to Earth’s radiative budget both directly and indirectly, and large uncertainties remain in quantifying aerosol effects on climate. Variability in aerosol distribution and properties, as might result from changing emissions and transport processes, must be characterized. In this study,

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Ariel’s Medial Grooves: Spreading Centers on a Candidate Ocean World

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal
We present evidence that Ariel's massive chasma-medial groove systems formed via spreading, where internally sourced material ascended and formed new crust.

Impact of the design of public and private urban models on the thermal response of the hillside sector. The case of the Metropolitan Area of Mendoza, Argentina

open access: yesCuaderno Urbano, 2021
The hillside urbanization of the Mendoza Metropolitan Area has generated a wide range of negative impacts on the territory, modifying its natural conditions. These impacts caused an increase in the absorption surfaces and the retention of solar radiation,

Polarizable Vanadium Dipoles Promote Water Dissociation on Vanadium‐Based Metal Organic Framework

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The polarization of unpaired V 3d electrons weakens the H─O bond to improve water dissociation by the dual Vδ+:O─H and Pλ−:H─O coupling hydrogen bonds formation and relaxation. P@V‐MOF electrocatalyst shows low overpotentials (94 mV in acid, 178 mV in neutral, and 77 mV in alkaline solutions) with excellent stability for effective overall water ...

Land cover changes in coffee cultural landscapes of Pereira (Colombia) between 1997 and 2014

open access: yesCuadernos de Investigación Geográfica, 2022
Understanding how and what land cover changes and transitions have occurred in a territory is crucial to planning and managing high-demand surfaces. At the landscape level, the challenge is determining the allocation and management of various land cover

Oxygen‐Tunnel Indium Tin Oxide Vertical Channel Transistors with Enhanced Current Density and Reliability for Monolithic 3D Compute‐In‐Memory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection
