Grafting Nanolayers of Ni and Co Catalysts Around the Edges of Hierarchical Zeolite 13X by Leveraging the Crystal's Defects for CO2 Methanation

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The deactivation of nickel‐based catalysts at high temperatures poses a significant challenge in CO2 methanation processes. To address this, a strong metal–support interaction between nickel and the support was engineered by exploiting the crystal defects present in hierarchical porous zeolite 13X.

Copper removal from aqueous solution using natural zeolite and antibacterial activity of the copper-loaded zeolite

open access: yes, 2011
The natural zeolite (Zlatokop mine, Serbia) is found to be effective in removal of the copper (II) ions from aqueous solutions, the sorption capacity at 298 K varies from 18.6 to 37.6 % for C0 = 100 and 400 mg Cu dm–3 , respectively.

Beyond Activity: The Unified Framework of the Sabatier Principle to Guide Rational Design of Durable and Active Electrocatalysts

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
In this review, a unified framework of the Sabatier principle is applied to a diverse range of catalytic and electrocatalytic systems for advanced clean energy technologies, with a particular focus on the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). This approach will guide the design and development of highly active and stable catalysts for fuel cells ...

Diffusion of Carbamazepine in Hydrophobic Zeolites: A Comparative Study Using Classical and Machine‐Learned Potentials

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Can hydrophobic, shape‐selective zeolites efficiently remove the persistent pharmaceutical CBZ from water? This work moves beyond the static picture of interaction energies by modeling diffusion with umbrella sampling and machine‐learned potentials. Even high intrinsic diffusion barriers can be overcome through exergonic adsorption from water, yielding

Mechanism of the adsorption of ammonium ions from aqueous solution by a Chinese natural zeolite

open access: yes, 2009
[[abstract]]The adsorption of ammonium ions onto a Chinese natural zeolite in an agitated batch adsorber was studied. A trial-and-error non-linear method was developed to examine two widely used isotherms, the Langmuir and Freundlich.
