Mordenite is a naturally occurring zeolite mineral that is the seventh most common zeolite mineral globally, forming at low temperatures (≥100°C) in hydrothermal systems. In New Zealand, extensive deposits of mordenite are commonly associated with areas of hydrothermal alteration, particularly in the Coromandel and Taupo Volcanic Zones.

Microwave Synthesis of CuNi/TiO2 Nanotubes for Enhanced Photocatalytic H2 Generation
A simple microwave synthesis technique to decorate spaced TiO2 nanotubes (NTs) with CuNi species that show significantly enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen generation. Microwave‐assisted synthesis offers several advantages over conventional methods, including shorter reaction times and more efficient heating in systems containing polar solvents such as ...

Trapping a Metastable Node in an Amorphous Metal–Organic Framework
Frustrated assembly in an amorphous Fe‐BDC framework is shown to trap a distorted, metastable Fe3O node as the dominant local motif. X‐ray PDF analysis and DFT calculations reveal that rapid network percolation outpaces node relaxation, locking in a high‐energy puckered geometry.
