Forest clearings support butterfly communities comparable to mountainous grasslands in alpha‐diversity and conservation value, yet remain compositionally distinct. Climate‐only models predict severe habitat contractions by 2100, especially in the Amazon, Cerrado and Caatinga, while southern and coastal Atlantic Forest areas remain refugial.
