The aesthetic sublime of megaproject structures: A framework and a research agenda

open access: yesEuropean Management Review, EarlyView.
Abstract The physical structures of megaprojects—such as mega‐canals, metros, railway lines, bridges, tunnels, and iconic opera houses—hold a profound capacity to generate aesthetic experiences with enduring societal impact. Yet, research on megaprojects has predominantly focused on functionality and economic rationale with aesthetics being pushed to ...

Environmental and seasonal filtering of taxonomic, functional and phylogenetic diversity patterns of mountain butterflies in a prime butterfly area, Greece

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
Forest clearings support butterfly communities comparable to mountainous grasslands in alpha‐diversity and conservation value, yet remain compositionally distinct. Generalized linear models (GLMs) showed three key habitat predictors shaping multifaceted diversity and community composition: herb/grass height, flowerhead abundance and elevation.

Incorporating light pollution into projections of the future distribution of Aspisoma sticticum Gemminger, 1870 under climate change in South America

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
Climate‐only models predict severe habitat contractions by 2100, especially in the Amazon, Cerrado and Caatinga, while southern and coastal Atlantic Forest areas remain refugial. Including artificial light at night increased projected stability and apparent suitability gains, especially in central and eastern South America.

The power of a stewardship mind: Reorienting organizations around the duty to care to better address grand challenges

open access: yesInternational Journal of Management Reviews, EarlyView.
Abstract The present article presents an integrative review related to stewardship in all the business and management disciplines, from its initial development in 1980 to the present. Fish welfare in a changing world: New developments and current challenges

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract The welfare of non‐human animals is central to ethical discussions on animal use, with increasing attention to fish welfare across research, aquaria, aquaculture, and fisheries. This paper reviews current theoretical approaches to animal welfare and recent advances in defining and assessing fish welfare since the seminal paper by Huntingford ...
