A Preliminary Study on Webcam-based Navigation of Transcranial Magnetic stimulation
Advanced Science and Technology Letters, 2014In this preliminary study, we utilized the Webcam with bigger field of view (FOV) in order to overcome existing limitations of conventional navigation stereo cameras with small FOV thereby improving marker detection capacity. In results, we demonstrated that FOVs of conventional camera and the Webcam were 885 mm and 1,685 mm, respectively which ...

Magnetic navigation system for home use of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS)
2012 ICME International Conference on Complex Medical Engineering (CME), 2012We are developing stimulation coil navigation systems for home use of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS). rTMS is effective for intractable diseases of the nervous system. However, the effects of rTMS last only for several hours, requiring a continuing daily rTMS therapies in a nearby clinic.

Integration of navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation data in the clinical workflow
2017Objective: Navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation (nTMS) is increasingly used for mapping of various brain functions in neurosurgical departments worldwide. However, when a department starts integrating nTMS data into the clinical workflow, smooth implementation into the existing hospital information[for full text, please go to the a.m. URL]

Motor function in multiple sclerosis assessed by navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation mapping
Journal of NeurologyImpaired motor function is a major cause of disability in multiple sclerosis (MS), involving various neuroplasticity processes typically assessed by neuroimaging. This study aimed to determine whether navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation (nTMS) could also provide biomarkers of motor cortex plasticity in patients with MS (pwMS).nTMS motor mapping

[Navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation for preoperative mapping of the eloquent cortex].
Der Nervenarzt, 2016Brain tumor surgery in functionally relevant areas is particularly challenging. Preoperative functional mapping with navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) was introduced into the clinical routine in 2009 and since then has seen widespread adoption.Accuracy and consistency of TMS motor and language mapping and its clinical relevance.Analysis
