NAVIGATION SYSTEM FOR LHD MACHINES

open access: yesIFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1995
Load, haul and dump (LHD) machines are used in mines to carry ore from loading point to dumping point. This paper presents techniques developed to automatize the work of LHD machines. The work concentrates on navigation of the .machines using dead reckoning, artificial beacons and distance measurement from vehicle to tunnel walls.

Clinical Characteristics and Prognostic Risk Factors for Pediatric B‐Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma: A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study for China Net Childhood Lymphoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background B‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (B‐LBL) represents a rare variety of non‐Hodgkin lymphoma, with limited research on its biology, progression, and management. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical characteristics of 256 patients aged ≤18 years who received treatment under the China Net Childhood Lymphoma (CNCL)‐

ViNav: A Vision-Based Indoor Navigation System for Smartphones

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, 2019
Smartphone-based indoor navigation services are desperately needed in indoor environments. However, the adoption of them has been relatively slow, due to the lack of fine-grained and up-to-date indoor maps, or the potentially high deployment and ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Detection of variance changes and mean value jumps in measurement noise for multipath mitigation in urban navigation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper studies an urban navigation filter for land vehicles. Typical urban-canyon phenomena as multipath and GPS outages seriously degrade positioning performance.

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Robust TDOA/FDOA estimation from emitter signals for hybrid localization using UAVs

open access: yesDefence Technology, 2022
This paper considers the time difference of arrival (TDOA) and frequency difference of arrival (FDOA) estimation problem for joint localization using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), involving range migration (RM) and Doppler ambiguity within observation
