Combining transient dynamics and logistic‐asymptotic growth to study the recovery of two seabird populations after rat eradication

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, Volume 67, Issue 4, Page 310-335, October 2025.
This study examines the demographic dynamics of two seabird populations on Tromelin Island, 15 years after the eradication of brown rats. The results indicate that these populations are in good health and are expected to continue growing until breeding sites are saturated in about a century.

Characterization of the in situ magnetic architecture of oceanic crust (Hess Deep) using near-source vector magnetic data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Marine magnetic anomalies are a powerful tool for detecting geomagnetic polarity reversals, lithological boundaries, topographic contrasts, and alteration fronts in the oceanic lithosphere.

Are the "circles" of marathon (Texas, USA) a timid north american version of the Nazca lines?

open access: yes, 2020
ABSTRACT Marathon town in northern-west Texas, shows curious circles that can be seen from the space but difficultly from land. These “circles” have been found thanks to new satellite images, with quite non similar images positioned in other United State of America location.

Slip inversion along inner fore-arc faults, eastern Tohoku, Japan [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The kinematics of deformation in the overriding plate of convergent margins may vary across timescales ranging from a single seismic cycle to many millions of years.

Proposed satellite laser ranging and very long baseline interferometry sites for crustal dynamics investigations [PDF]

open access: yes
Recommendations are presented for a global network of 125 sites for geodetic measurements by satellite laser ranging and very long baseline interferometry. The sites were proposed on the basis of existing facilities and scientific value for investigation

Seismic structure in southern Peru: evidence for a smooth contortion between flat and normal subduction of the Nazca Plate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Rapid changes in slab geometry are typically associated with fragmentation of the subducted plate; however, continuous curvature of the slab is also possible.

Distribution of slip from 11 M_w > 6 earthquakes in the northern Chile subduction zone [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We use interferometric synthetic aperture radar, GPS, and teleseismic data to constrain the relative location of coseismic slip from 11 earthquakes on the subduction interface in northern Chile (23°–25°S) between the years 1993 and 2000.
