Surface characterization of sodium silicate glasses after initial water interaction

Abstract The corrosion behavior of sodium silicate glass in water may be understood by clarifying the fundamental processes of interface reactions. We investigated the reaction mechanism of the glass surfaces in contact with water for just an immediate dipping up to 1 h later, using x‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

Reactivity of a Methylene‐Bridged 1,3‐Bis(germylene) in Dynamic Equilibrium with Its Dimer

We report the properties and reactivity of an unprecedented methylene‐bridged 1,3‐bis(germylene) derivative. In the solid state, the 1,3‐bis(germylene) derivative undergoes dimerization to afford a 1,2,4,5‐tetragermacyclohexa‐1,4‐diene (Ge4CHD) derivative.

On the Reaction of Pacman-Phosphanes with Lewis Acids. [PDF]

The reactivity of a Pacman phosphane (a macrocyclic, multidentate phosphane ligand) with Lewis acids such as BPh₃, B(C₆F₅)₃, and GaCl₃ were investigated, revealing distinct bonding motifs and coordination behaviors.
