Synthesis and Reactivity of Ion‐Separated Salts [K(18‐Crown‐6)][(Me2‐cAAC)GeE(SiMe3)3] and [K(2.2.2‐Cryptand)][(Me2‐cAAC)GeE(SiMe3)3] (E = Si, Ge): Base‐Stabilised Germylidenides or Germenyl Anions?

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 1, January 1, 2026.
The synthesis and characterisation of [K(18‐crown‐6)][(Me2‐cAAC)GeE(SiMe3)3] and [K(2.2.2‐cryptand)][(Me2‐cAAC)GeE(SiMe3)3] (E = Si, Ge) are reported. Compared to the contact ion pairs K[(Me2‐cAAC)GeE(SiMe3)3], the ion‐separated salts contain a greater contribution from a germenyl anion formulation, which rationalises the differences in their CO2 ...

Conformational Analysis and NMR Data Assignment of Taraxerone Isolated From Cnidoscolus aconitifolius (Chaya)

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Chemistry, Volume 64, Issue 1, Page 146-159, January 2026.
We report the first complete NMR assignment of taraxerone, a pentacyclic triterpenoid isolated from Cnidoscolus aconitifolius (chaya). Using 2D NMR, DFT, and NBO analysis, we resolved spectral ambiguities due to high‐order couplings and signal overlap. Two Ring A conformers were identified and characterized.

Analysis of Methyl Substitution in Phenolic Compounds as Potential Biofuel Additives: From Solid‐State Description to Antioxidant Potential

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 11, Issue 2, 15 January 2026.
The rising demand for renewable energy points to biodiesel as a viable fossil fuel alternative, yet its limited oxidative stability remains a challenge. This study reveals that methyl‐substituted hydroquinone derivatives exhibit enhanced antioxidant capacity, suggesting their promise as biofuel additives.

Oxyfluoride glasses obtained through incorporation of CaF2${\rm CaF}_2$ into photovoltaic cover glass melts

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 109, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract The glass industry has limited options to mitigate its environmental footprint, and the demand for cover glass to produce photovoltaic panels continues to increase. Currently, the majority of this special type of glass is not being recycled; therefore, this work proposes to reuse it as raw material to obtain oxyfluoride glasses.
