Erbium And Holmium Lasers Pumped With Nd:YAG
LEOS '90. Conference Proceedings IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society 1990 Annual Meeting, 1990Diode-pumped neodymium lasers can be used to efficiently pump other rare earth lasers. Intracavity pumping of the ytterbium-sensitized erbium phosphate glass laser gave 6% conversion of 800 nm laser diode arrays to 1.54 μm. Techniques used for pumping 2.9-μm Ho:GGG lasers are also discussed.

Nd:YAG Laser Treatment for Premacular Hemorrhage
Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 1998Abstract. The authors describe two cases of premacular hemorrhage secondary to retinal macroaneurysm, with significant loss of vision. A few low-energy bursts of Nd:YAG laser were applied to perforate the anterior surface of the hemorrhage, subsequently draining the blood into the vitreous cavity.

[Cyclophotocoagulation with the Nd:YAG-laser].
Klinische Monatsblatter fur Augenheilkunde, 1990Hopeless glaucoma cases fluctuate between excessive pressures and phthisis. Due to the underlying disease (neovascularization in the chamber angle, chronic inflammation, dysgenesis, aphakia) the customary surgical pressure-lowering operations often fail and medication is also useless.

[Nd:YAG laser trabeculoplasty].
Ceskoslovenska oftalmologie, 1994The results of ALT and Nd: YAG LTP are presented and compared in group 19 patients. The average IOP reduction and increase of outflow facilities were significant in both methods. Any difference of results between comparing methods were not statistically significant.

[Vitreolysis with Nd:YAG laser].
[Zhonghua yan ke za zhi] Chinese journal of ophthalmology, 1991From 1985 to 1987, the authors performed Nd:YAG laser vitreolysis in 20 eyes with vitreous membranes. The average power used was 27 mJ, and the maximum was 65 mJ. 18 eyes with vitreous strands were relieved or partially relieved. 2 eyes with floating vitreous membranes were not helped.
