Telescope-to-Fireball Characterization of Earth Impactor 2022 WJ1

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal
Comparing how an asteroid appears in space to its ablation behavior during atmospheric passage and finally to the properties of associated meteorites represents the ultimate probe of small near-Earth objects.

Optimization of Deflection of a Big NEO through Impact with a Small One

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
Using a small near-Earth object (NEO) to impact a larger and potentially threatening NEO has been suggested as an effective method to avert a collision with Earth. This paper develops a procedure for analysis of the technique for specific NEOs. First, an

Visual-band Brightnesses of Near-Earth Objects that will be Discovered in the Infrared by NEO Surveyor

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal
Near-Earth Object (NEO) Surveyor will detect asteroids and comets using mid-infrared thermal emission, however ground-based followup resources will require knowledge of the expected visible light brightness in order to plan characterization observations.

Transcriptome‐wide analysis of circRNA and RBP profiles and their molecular relevance for GBM

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CircRNAs are differentially expressed in glioblastoma primary tumors and might serve as therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers. The investigation of circRNA and RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs) interactions shows that distinct RBPs play a role in circRNA biogenesis and function.

Elucidating prognostic significance of purine metabolism in colorectal cancer through integrating data from transcriptomic, immunohistochemical, and single‐cell RNA sequencing analysis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low expression of five purine metabolism‐related genes (ADSL, APRT, ADCY3, NME3, NME6) was correlated with poor survival in colorectal cancer. Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that low NME3 (early stage) and low ADSL/NME6 (late stage) levels were associated with high risk.

Multiple sclerosis clinical decision support system based on projection to reference datasets

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1863-1873, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objective Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a multifactorial disease with increasingly complicated management. Our objective is to use on‐demand computational power to address the challenges of dynamically managing MS. Methods A phase 3 clinical trial data (NCT00906399) were used to contextualize the medication efficacy of peg‐interferon beta‐1a vs ...
