Molten KNO2 treatment induces a lowrefractive index disordered carbon shell on fluorescent nanodiamonds, enhancing fluorescence emission while preserving spin coherence. Machine learningassisted correlative TEMPL enables direct single‐particle resolution of this enhancement relative to air‐oxidized nanodiamonds of similar morphology, establishing a ...

Magneto-inertial convection in rotating fluid spheres [PDF]
The onset of convection in the form of magneto-inertial waves in a rotating fluid sphere permeated by a constant axial electric current is studied through a perturbation analysis.

Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Inertial waves in a differentially rotating spherical shell
We investigate the properties of small-amplitude inertial waves propagating in a differentially rotating incompressible fluid contained in a spherical shell. For cylindrical and shellular rotation profiles and in the inviscid limit, inertial waves obey a

Impact of Near‐Inertial Waves on Vertical Mixing and Air‐Sea CO 2 Fluxes in the Southern Ocean
We report the significant impact of near-inertial waves (NIWs) on vertical mixing and 17 air-sea carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) fluxes in the Southern Ocean (SO) using a biogeochemical 18 model coupled to an eddy-rich ocean circulation model.

High‐Throughput Exfoliation of Optoelectronic‐Grade MoS2 via Turbulent‐Flow Wet Jet Milling
A scalable wet jet milling exfoliation method is demonstrated for producing optoelectronic‐grade MoS2 nanosheets using environmentally friendly ethyl cellulose in ethanol dispersion media. Guided by fluid dynamics modeling, this approach is optimized to achieve record‐high exfoliation throughput and concentration.

Need for a subtropical wind profiling system [PDF]
The purpose is to point out the need for, and the benefit that can be derived from, a national wind profiling facility located in the subtropics. At present no such facility exists.

The excitation of trapped inertial waves (r-modes) by warps and eccentricities in the inner regions of a black hole accretion disc may explain the high-frequency quasi-periodic oscillations (HFQPOs) observed in the emission of Galactic X-ray binaries ...

Post-Minkowskian Gravity: Dark Matter as a Relativistic Inertial Effect? [PDF]
A review is given of the theory of non-inertial frames (with the associated inertial effects and the study of the non-relativistic limit) in Minkowski space-time, of parametrized Minkowski theories and of the rest-frame instant form of dynamics for ...

Generation and Propagation of Near-Inertial Waves in a Baroclinic Current on the Tasmanian Shelf
Near-inertial waves (NIWs) are often an energetic component of the internal wave field on windy continental shelves. The effect of baroclinic geostrophic currents, which introduce both relative vorticity and baroclinicity, on NIWs is not well understood.
