Monitoring Hydro Temporal Variability in Alberta, Canada with Multi-Temporal Sentinel-1 SAR Data

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Remote Sensing, 2018
Freely available high temporal and spatial resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite data such as Sentinel-1 have made it possible for almost near-real time monitoring of surface water extent.

Enhancement of technological well productivity during in situ leaching using optimized multi-strand detonation cord charges (12–20 g/m): experimental study

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Applied Science
The productivity decline of technological wells during in situ leaching (ISL) is primarily associated with clogging of well filters and the near-filter zone, leading to a significant increase in hydraulic resistance and reduction in injectivity.

A Millimeter‐Scale Implantable Magneto–Mechano–Electric Transducer Based on BTO Piezoelectric Ceramics for Remote Wireless Electrical Stimulation of Injured Sciatic Nerves

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report a fully wireless, circuit‐free neural stimulator built on a millimetric magneto‐mechano‐electric (MME) cantilever transducer (3 × 10 × 5 mm) with a barium titanate (BTO) piezoelectric ceramic core. Under low‐frequency alternating magnetic fields, the MME cantilever mechanically oscillates, inducing stress on the BTO element and thereby ...

Metal‐Support Interaction Triggered Electronic Reconstruction in Pd/CoN‐Co4N Catalysts for Optimizing MEK Oxidation and Poisoning Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The strengthened EMSI in Pd/CoN‐Co4N induces electronic rearrangement, generating abundant Pd0 species in situ, modulating the Pd d‐band center to enhance O2 adsorption and MEK activation. Concurrently, it creates numerous Lewis acid sites that preferentially adsorb poisons and shield the active sites.

A Periosteum‐Inspired Janus Piezoelectric Scaffold Using Bioenergetic‐Driven H‐Type Vascularization for Diabetic Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A periosteum‐inspired Janus piezoelectric scaffold converts micromechanical forces into electrical signals and synergizes with controlled resveratrol release. This dual action reprograms endothelial metabolism, drives H‑type vessel formation, and restores bone–vessel coupling in diabetic bone defects.

Placental Site Trophoblastic Tumor Acquires Immune Functions by Incorporating Host Maternal Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PSTT cells, through cell fusion with B cells, incorporate abundant non‐inherited maternal genes that are detectable by DNIMA. These hybrid cells acquire immunotherapy‐resistant genetic changes and increase the expression of B cell‐derived immune‐related molecules such as Ig, HLA, LILRB, SIGLEC10, and so on, creating an immunotolerant environment around

On the Uniqueness of Near Polygons with Three Points on Every Line

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Combinatorics, 2002
The author presents a criterion to decide whether two near \(2d\)-gons (A) with three points per line, (B) such that every two non collinear points which are both collinear with at least one point are collinear with at least two points, and (C) containing a big geodesically closed sub-near \(2(d-1)\)-gon \({\mathcal H}\), are isomorphic (\({\mathcal H}\

Ultrasound‐Activatable Piezoelectric Hydrogel Reprograms Mitochondrial Epigenetics for Osteoarthritis Therapy via the mTOR/GATD3A Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ultrasound‐activatable piezoelectric hydrogel reprograms chondrocyte mitochondrial epigenetics via the mTOR/GATD3A axis, clearing damaged mitochondria and alleviating osteoarthritis progression in both mouse models and human cartilage explants. ABSTRACT The avascular nature of cartilage hinders drug delivery for osteoarthritis (OA) therapy.

Physics‐Informed Neural Network‐Enabled Forward Prediction and Inverse Design of Ring Origami

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a KRT‐PINN framework that integrates Kirchhoff rod theory with physics‐informed neural networks for the forward prediction and inverse design of ring origami consisting of closed‐loop rods. The framework predicts stable states of segmented rings with prescribed natural‐curvature profiles and determines the natural‐curvature profiles ...
