Continuous measurements of discharge from a horizontal acoustic Doppler current profiler in a tidal river [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCPs) can be mounted horizontally at a river bank, yielding single-depth horizontal array observations of velocity across the river.

Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) in a Patient With Compound Heterozygous OPA1 Variants: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

Literature review on reinforced concrete members strengthened with FRP at room and elevated temperature [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In the last 30 years, composite materials have been successfully applied as structural reinforcement to strengthen existing structures. The success of applying FRPs (Fibre Reinforced Polymers) for strengthening is due to their excellent mechanical ...

Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of Inebilizumab Versus Rituximab in AQP4‐IgG‐Positive NMOSD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rituximab (anti‐CD20, RTX) and inebilizumab (anti‐CD19, INE) represent B‐cell‐depleting therapies used for aquaporin‐4 antibody‐positive (AQP4‐IgG+) neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD); however, direct comparative evidence remains limited.

Near surface mounted thecnique for the flexural and shear strengthening of concrete beams [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The efficacies of the Near Surface Mounted and Externally Bonded Reinforcing techniques for the flexural and shear strengthening of reinforced concrete beams are compared. Both techniques are based on the use of carbon fiber reinforced polymer materials.

Thermoreflectance Detection of Point Defects Resulting from Focused Ion Beam Milling

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Focused ion beam (FIB) milling is a common tool for nanoscale material processing, however irradiation damage, redeposition, and contamination can occur. We use several characterization tools to show FIB‐induced effects beyond 1 mm from the milled area.

Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Upgrading of Deficient Disturbed Regions in Precast RC beams with Near Surface Mounted (NSM) Steel Bars

open access: yesJournal of Materials and Engineering Structures, 2020
An experimental study has been conducted to explore the response of self-compacting RC drop in- beams retrofitted with NSM steel bars under short-term static loading. Eleven specimens have been tested in this program, each of (200x400x1600 mm) dimensions

Computation of three-dimensional shock wave and boundary-layer interactions [PDF]

open access: yes
Computations of the impingement of an oblique shock wave on a cylinder and a supersonic flow past a blunt fin mounted on a plate are used to study three dimensional shock wave and boundary layer interaction.
