M-theory Compactifications on Manifolds with G2 Structure
In this paper we study M-theory compactifications on manifolds of G2 structure. By computing the gravitino mass term in four dimensions we derive the general form for the superpotential which appears in such compactifications and show that beside the ...

Abstract Benthic fishes are a common target of scientific monitoring but are difficult to quantify because of their close association to bottom habitats that are hard to access. Advances in image‐acquisition technologies, machine vision and deep learning have made capturing and quantifying fishes with cameras increasingly feasible.

Rigidity theorems of Lagrangian submanifolds in the homogeneous nearly K\"ahler $\mathbb{S}^6(1)$
In this paper, we study Lagrangian submanifolds of the homogeneous nearly K\"ahler $6$-dimensional unit sphere $\mathbb{S}^6(1)$. As the main result, we derive a Simons' type integral inequality in terms of the second fundamental form for compact ...

Generic Riemannian Submersions from nearly K¨aehler Manifolds
We study generic Riemannian submersions from nearly K¨aehler manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We investigate conditions for the integrability of various distributions arising for generic Riemannian submersions and also obtain conditions for leaves to be totally geodesic foliations.

Rationale Stable isotope analysis of bone provides insight into animal foraging and allows for ecological reconstructions over time, however pre‐treatment is required to isolate collagen. Pre‐treatments typically consist of demineralization to remove inorganic components and/or lipid extraction to remove fats, but these protocols can differentially ...

What Is the Ideal Dimension of Law?
Abstract Various authors have claimed that law has an ideal dimension owed to a claim to correctness. Against this thesis, this article argues that there are several ideal dimensions of law, namely, a moral, a legal, and an ontological one. All of them are independent of a claim to correctness.

Nongeometric Flux Compactifications
We investigate a simple class of type II string compactifications which incorporate nongeometric "fluxes" in addition to "geometric flux" and the usual H-field and R-R fluxes. These compactifications are nongeometric analogues of the twisted torus.

The convenience yield under commodity financialization
Abstract A number of papers have dealt with commodity financialization finding strong evidence for its existence and its effect on commodity prices and volatility. We chose convenience yield (CY) to study the effect of commodity financialization based on the theory of storage and on the argument that CY resembles a call option.

SU(3)-instantons and $G_2, Spin(7)$-heterotic string solitons
Necessary and sufficient conditions to the existence of a hermitian connection with totally skew-symmetric torsion and holonomy contained in SU(3) are given.

Yang-Mills Flows on Nearly Kähler Manifolds and G 2-Instantons [PDF]
We consider Lie(G)-valued G-invariant connections on bundles over spaces G/H, RxG/H and R^2xG/H, where G/H is a compact nearly Kaehler six-dimensional homogeneous space, and the manifolds RxG/H and R^2xG/H carry G_2- and Spin(7)-structures, respectively.
