Spatial distribution of carbon dust in the early solar nebula and the carbon content of planetesimals [PDF]
Context. A high fraction of carbon bound in solid carbonaceous material is observed to exist in bodies formed in the cold outskirts of the solar nebula, while bodies in the region of terrestrial planets contain only very small mass fractions of carbon ...

Complex molecules in the Orion Kleinmann-Low nebula
In the framework of the delivery to the early Earth of extraterrestrial molecules, we have studied complex molecular species toward the Orion Kleinmann-Low nebula. This nebula is rich in molecules as well as in nascent stars and planetary systems.

We report the discovery of giant (50−100 kpc) [O ii ] emitting nebulae with MUSE in the field of TXS 0206−048, a luminous quasar at z = 1.13. “Down-the-barrel” UV spectra of the quasar show absorption at velocities coincident with those of the extended ...

A Photometrically and Morphologically Variable Infrared Nebula in L483 [PDF]
We present narrow and broad K-band observations of the Class 0/I source IRAS 18148-0440 that span 17 years. The infrared nebula associated with this protostar in the L483 dark cloud is both morphologically and photometrically variable on a time scale of only a few months.

Which Stars Are Ionizing the Orion Nebula? [PDF]
The common assumption that is the dominant ionizing source for the Orion Nebula is critically examined. This assumption underlies much of the existing analysis of the nebula.

Planetary nebulae in M32 and the bulge of M31: Line intensities and oxygen abundances [PDF]
We present spectroscopy of planetary nebulae in M32 and in the bulge of M31 that we obtained with the MOS spectrograph at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope. Our sample includes 30 planetary nebulae in M31 and 9 planetary nebulae in M32. We also observed one H II region in the disk of M31. We detected [O III]$\lambda$4363 in 18 of the planetary nebulae,

Improved Measurements of the IXPE Crab Polarization
X-ray polarization from the Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPE) provides an important new probe of the geometry of the pulsar emission zone and of particle acceleration in the surrounding pulsar wind nebula.

On the Structure and Kinematics of Nebulae around LBVs and LBV Candidates in the LMC [PDF]
We present a detailed analysis of the morphology and kinematics of nebulae around LBVs and LBV candidates in the Large Magellanic Cloud. HST images and high-resolution Echelle Spectra were used to determine the size, shape, brightness, and expansion velocities of the LBV nebulae around R127, R143, and S61.

Learning About the Magnetar Swift J1834.9-0846 from its Wind Nebula [PDF]
The first wind nebula around a magnetar was recently discovered in X-rays around Swift~J1834.9$-$0846. We study this magnetar's global energetics and the properties of its particle wind or outflows.

BROADBAND X-RAY IMAGING AND SPECTROSCOPY OF THE CRAB NEBULA AND PULSAR WITH NuSTAR [PDF]
We present broadband (3–78 keV) NuSTAR X-ray imaging and spectroscopy of the Crab nebula and pulsar. We show that while the phase-averaged and spatially integrated nebula + pulsar spectrum is a power law in this energy band, spatially resolved ...
