Effect of Ambient Temperature Variations on Particle Dimesions in Ultrasonic Nebulizers during Cold Vaporization

open access: diamondAdvances in Science, Technology and Engineering Systems Journal, 2017
For human comfort and convenience, appropriate temperature values may not be sufficient enough for the environment that they live in. The moisture content of the air has an important place in this regard. 30% to 65% humidity is desireable for a relaxed and comfortable life.

Low-Pressure ICP-AES with Electrothermal Vaporizer and a Pneumatic Nebulizer for Aqueous Sample Introduction

open access: closedAnalytical Sciences, 2005
A typical electrothermal vaporization (ETV) using a tantalum was built for low-pressure ICP-AES. The analytical performance of the ETV was tested and compared with that of a PFA pneumatic nebulizer with a double membrane desolvator (DMD). The limits of detection of the ETV were obtained in the range of 3.4 ng to 758 ng for Zn, Cu, Co, Fe, and Mg, while

Comparison of laser ablation, electrothermal vaporization and solution nebulization for the determination of radionuclides in liquid samples by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry

open access: greenJournal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry, 2006
The performance of solution nebulization (SN), electrothermal vaporization (ETV) and laser ablation (LA) of dried micro-droplets as sample introduction systems for ICP-MS are compared for the determination of several radionuclides in digested biological tissue, nearshore sea-water and river water.

Exploring Different Approaches to Improve the Analytical Performance of Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry with Pneumatic Nebulization or Electrothermal Vaporization

open access: green, 2019
This thesis is aimed at exploring new diverse approaches for improving the analytical performance of inductively coupled plasma (ICP) optical emission spectrometry (OES) with pneumatic nebulization (PN) or electrothermal vaporization (ETV). First, a new infrared (IR)-heated PN system was developed to enhance sample transport efficiency and concurrently

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients’ experience using Trelegy as compared with other inhalers [PDF]

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Respiratory Therapy, 2022
Introduction: Trelegy is a combination inhaler that is often reported to offer benefits over multiple inhalers. We compared Trelegy use with multiple inhalers for adherence, symptoms, medication beliefs, and medication attitudes.

Association between beta-2 adrenergic receptor variants and clinical outcomes in children and adolescents with acute asthma [PDF]

open access: yesEinstein (São Paulo), 2022
Objective To investigate whether different genotypes of p.Arg16Gly, p.Gln27Glu, p.Arg19Cys and p.Thr164Ile variants interfere in response to treatment in children and adolescents with moderate to severe acute asthma.

Influence of Mechanical Ventilation Modes on the Efficacy of Nebulized Bronchodilators in the Treatment of Intubated Adult Patients with Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

open access: yesPharmaceutics, 2023
Background: Little has been reported in terms of clinical outcomes to confirm the benefits of nebulized bronchodilators during mechanical ventilation (MV). Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) could be a valuable method to elucidate this gap. Objective:
