Review of Solid Sample Introduction for Plasma Spectrometry and a Comparison of Results for Laser Ablation, Electrothermal Vaporization, and Slurry Nebulization

open access: closedMicrochemical Journal, 1994
Abstract The relative merits of three solid sample introduction techniques for inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry have been evaluated. The techniques studied were laser ablation (LA), slurry nebulization, and slurry introduction via electrothermal vaporization.

Investigation and quantification of spectroscopic interferences from polyatomic species in inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry using electrothermal vaporization or pneumatic nebulization for sample introduction

open access: closedSpectrochimica Acta Part B: Atomic Spectroscopy, 1998
Abstract A new method for quantification of spectral interferences based on analyte isotope ratio measurements in the presence of various concentrations of a specific matrix is presented. Within the method, a tolerance level is used, defined as the matrix concentration at which the ratio between analyte isotopes with and without interferences is ...

Preparation of zirconia thin films by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition using ultrasonic nebulization [PDF]

open access: possibleJournal of Materials Research, 1996
Zirconia (ZrO2) thin films were prepared by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) using ultrasonic nebulization with new source materials, Zr(OBu)4, Zr(OBu)3(acac), Zr(OBu)2(acac)2, and Zr(OBu) (acac)3. This process is a simple and economic method to prepare oxide thin films.

Vapor-generation assisted nebulization for nonmetal determination

Spectrochimica Acta Part B: Atomic Spectroscopy, 1995
Abstract A new on-line vapor-generation nebulization (VGN) method is explored for non-metal detection by microwave plasma torch-mass spectrometry (MPT-MS). In the new method, a three-channel “Y” is used to introduce the sample and reactant solutions simultaneously into a nebulizer.

Enhanced room-temperature ammonia vapor-sensing activity of nebulizer spray pyrolysis fabricated SnO2 thin films: an effect of Er doping

Journal of Materials Research, 2021
In this work, we have coated 0, 1, 3, and 5 wt% of Erbium (Er)-doped tin oxide (SnO2) films on glass using a simple nebulizer spray pyrolysis method to make an ammonia vapor sensor with remarkable sensitivity. X-ray diffraction, Atomic force microscopy, Ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy and photoluminescence methods were employed to inspect the thin ...
