Regulation of Constitutively Expressed and Induced Cutinase Genes by Different Zinc Finger Transcription Factors inFusarium solani f. sp. pisi(Nectria haematococca) [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 2002
Cutin monomers, generated by the low levels of constitutively expressed cutinase, induce high levels of cutinase that can help pathogenic fungi to penetrate into the host through the cuticle whose major structural polymer is cutin. We cloned three highly homologous cutinase genes, cut1, cut2, and cut3, from Fusarium solani f. pisi (Nectria haematococca)

Recombinant expression, purification and biochemical characterization of kievitone hydratase from Nectria haematococca. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
Kievitone hydratase catalyzes the addition of water to the double bond of the prenyl moiety of plant isoflavonoid kievitone and, thereby, forms the tertiary alcohol hydroxy-kievitone.

Disease symptoms and their frequency of occurrence in sycamores (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) in the Rymanów Forest Unit stands

open access: yesActa Agrobotanica, 2012
Field studies were conducted in the years 2003 - 2005 in the Rymanów Forest Unit in 13 stands aged between 40 to 100 years, which had 10% - 60% of the sycamore in their species composition.

Isolation and analysis of a novel inducible pectate lyase gene from the phytopathogenic fungus Fusarium solani f. sp. pisi (Nectria haematococca, mating population VI) [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology, 1992
A pectate lyase produced by Fusarium solani f. sp. pisi (Nectria haematococca, mating population VI) was previously shown to be essential for host infection (M. S. Crawford and P. E. Kolattukudy, Arch. Biochem. Biophys. 258:196-205, 1987). Pectate lyase genes have not been cloned from any phytopathogenic fungi.

Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization: a potentially useful technique for detection of microorganisms on mortars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper discusses the possibilities of applying Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) to detect microorganisms on mortars, as this analytical technique has been used in different fields for the detection and identification of individual microbial ...

Study of the antagonistic activity of Trichoderma spp. strains isolated from sites with different levels of radiation contamination in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone against phytopathogenic hyphal fungi [PDF]

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика
A radiometric analysis of soil samples from the studied areas of the exclusion zone, which have been under exposure to chronic irradiation for more than three decades, was carried out, from which micromycetes of different species of the genus Trichoderma

Characterization of the Gene Encoding Pisatin Demethylase (FoPDA1) in Fusarium oxysporum

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2011
The pea pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. pisi is able to detoxify pisatin produced as a defense response by pea, and the gene encoding this detoxification mechanism, FoPDA1, was 82% identical to the cytochrome P450 pisatin demethylase PDA1 gene in ...

Black perithecial pigmentation in Fusarium species is due to the accumulation of 5-deoxybostrycoidin-based melanin [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Biosynthesis of the black perithecial pigment in the filamentous fungus Fusarium graminearum is dependent on the polyketide synthase PGL1 (oPKS3). A seven-membered PGL1 gene cluster was identified by over-expression of the cluster specific transcription ...
