A new species of Sarcopodium (Hypocreales, Nectriaceae) from China

Phytotaxa, 2021
A new species, Sarcopodium tibetense, is described on rotten stem base of maize straw from the Tibet Autonomous Region. The anatomy of perithecia, which covered with septate, curved hairs on the surface, striate ascospores, and penicillate conidiophores indicate that the fungus belongs to Sarcopodium.

Pseudocosmospora hypoxylicola (Nectriaceae), a new species from the French Alps

Mycological Progress, 2020
Pseudocosmospora hypoxylicola is described and illustrated based on material occurring on stromata of Hypoxylon fuscum on Alnus alnobetula in France. The placement of this fungus in the genus and its status as a distinct species are based on the study of its sexual and asexual morphs, colour of colony in culture and phylogenetic comparison of ITS1-5.8S-

Geejayessia ruscicola (Hypocreales, Nectriaceae), a new species on Ruscus aculeatus

2021
Geejayessia ruscicola sp. nov. is described and illustrated, based on many collections on Ruscus aculeatus L. (Liliaceae) from France and one from U.K. Four collections of this species were cultured and sequenced. The placement of this fungus in the genus Geejayessia and its status as a distinct species are based on the study of its sexual and asexual ...

Chaetopsina aquatica sp. nov. (Hypocreales, Nectriaceae) from the River Nile, Egypt

Phytotaxa, 2021
A new species, Chaetopsina aquatica, collected from the River Nile, Sohag, Egypt, is described and illustrated. Phylogenetic analyses of the combined ITS and LSU rDNA placed the new species within Chaetopsina as a phylogenetically distinct species. Chaetopsina aquatica formed a basal clade to a node containing C. aurantisalinicola and C.

Anamorphic fungi from French Guyana: two undescribedGliocephalotrichumspecies (Nectriaceae, Hypocreales)

Mycologia, 2006
Morphological and molecular studies of Gliocephalotrichum collections from rain forest leaf litter in French Guyana revealed the occurrence of two undescribed species, described here as G. bacillisporum and G. longibrachium. Both species have a whorl of sterile stipe extensions directly subtending the conidiogenous penicilli.

Chaetopsinectria(Nectriaceae, Hypocreales), a new genus withChaetopsinaanamorphs

Mycologia, 2010
Genus Chaetopsinectria is established to accommodate four species, previously assigned to Cosmospora, that possess Chaetopsina anamorphs, small and red perithecia not collapsing when dry, a typical Cosmospora perithecial wall structure, clavate asci, smooth or striate ascospores, sienna colonies on PDA, and on decaying debris or woody substrates.

Three new species of Dialonectria (Nectriaceae) from France

2019
Three species of Dialonectria collected in France on Diatrypaceae are described and illustrated as new species. Their taxonomic position is based on morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analysis of the ITS sequences. Phylogenetic comparison with genera belonging to the Nectriaceae and having an acremonium- or fusarium-like asexual morph ...

Varicosporella, a new aquatic genus in the Nectriaceae from France

2015
Varicosporella aquatica gen. and sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on six collections on submerged wood in South of France. A fusarium-like asexual morph was obtained in culture and sequenced. The genus is placed in the Nectriaceae based on its asexual morph and phylogenetic comparison of ITS and LSU sequences with species in 22 genera of ...

Two new species of Chaetopsina (Nectriaceae) from Saül (French Guiana)

2019
Two new species of Chaetopsina are described and illustrated from specimens collected in French Guiana. Based on morphological divergences of both sexual and asexual morphs from known Chaetopsina species as well as phylogenetic analysis of ITS and LSU sequences, C. guyanensis and C. saulensis are proposed as new species.

Three new species ofNeonectria(Nectriaceae, Hypocreales) with notes on their phylogenetic positions

Mycologia, 2010
Collections of Bionectriaceae and Nectriaceae from Henan, Hubei and Guangdong provinces, China, were examined. Three new species, Neonectria confusa, N. shennongjiana and N. sinensis, are described and illustrated. Distinctions between the new species and their related taxa are discussed.
