Mitochondrial Genome Diversity in Collembola: Phylogeny, Dating and Gene Order
Collembola (springtails) are an early diverging class of apterygotes, and mark the first substantial radiation of hexapods on land. Despite extensive work, the relationships between major collembolan lineages are still debated and, apart from the Early ...

A genome analysis revealed the presence of many bacterial‐type terpene synthases in springtails. Four enzymes from Sinella curviseta were functionally characterised, resulting in the isolation of several compounds including sinellene ether, the first diterpene ether identified from a terpene synthase that represents a novel skeleton.

This study highlights the significance of using environmental DNA (eDNA) metabarcoding to study forest arthropods associated with tree‐related microhabitats (TreMs) and deadwood. We find that our tree surface sampling effectively captured ecologically significant arthropods associated with TreMs, exhibiting overlap with other deadwood sediment samples ...

Unexpected diversity in Neelipleona revealed by molecular phylogeny approach (Hexapoda, Collembola)
Neelipleona are the smallest of the four Collembola orders in term of species number with 35 species described worldwide (out of around 8000 known Collembola). Despite this apparent poor diversity, Neelipleona have a worldwide repartition. The fact that
