EFSA Journal, Volume 23, Issue 7, July 2025.Abstract
The qualified presumption of safety (QPS) process was developed to assess the safety of microorganisms used in food and feed chains. During the period covered by this Statement, no new information warranted changes to the status of previously recommended QPS taxonomic units.EFSA Panel on Biological Hazards (BIOHAZ), Ana Allende, Avelino Alvarez‐Ordóñez, Valeria Bortolaia, Sara Bover‐Cid, Alessandra De Cesare, Wietske Dohmen, Laurent Guillier, Liesbeth Jacxsens, Maarten Nauta, Lapo Mughini‐Gras, Jakob Ottoson, Luisa Peixe, Fernando Perez‐Rodriguez, Panagiotis Skandamis, Elisabetta Suffredini, Pier Sandro Cocconcelli, Pablo Salvador Fernández Escámez, Miguel Prieto Maradona, Amparo Querol, Lolke Sijtsma, Juan Evaristo Suarez, Marianne Chemaly, Ingvar Sundh, Fulvio Barizzone, Justine Dastouet, Nadya Doyle, Sandra Correia, Lieve Herman +28 morewiley +1 more sourceState of the Art and Consensus Statements by Healthcare Providers, Patients, and Caregivers on Continuous Glucose Monitoring in Liver Glycogen Storage Diseases
Journal of Inherited Metabolic Disease, Volume 48, Issue 3, May 2025.ABSTRACT
Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) is increasingly used although not officially registered for the management of people living with liver glycogen storage diseases (GSDs). The aims of this study were twofold: (a) to investigate the current experiences of healthcare providers (HCPs), patients, and caregivers using CGM to monitor glucose ...Terry G. J. Derks, Ruben J. Clinical Transplantation, Volume 39, Issue 5, May 2025.ABSTRACT Introduction
The diagnosis of antibody‐mediated rejection (AMR) requires input from several transplant professionals. Bringing clinical and laboratory experts together may help standardize care. Yet, little is known about current global practices of multidisciplinary meetings for AMR management.Ruth Sapir‐Pichhadze, Medhat Askar, Matthew Cooper, Lynn D. Cornell, Emanuele Cozzi, Darshana M. The Journal of Pathology, Volume 265, Issue 3, Page 342-356, March 2025.Abstract
Ischaemic heart disease (IHD) remains a major cause of death and morbidity. Klotho is a well‐known anti‐ageing factor with relevant cardioprotective actions, at least when renal dysfunction is present, but its actions are much less known when renal function is preserved.Sara Vázquez‐Sánchez, Ana Blasco, Pablo Fernández‐Corredoira, Paula Cantolla, Elisa Mercado‐García, Elena Rodríguez‐Sánchez, Laura González‐Lafuente, Jonay Poveda, Daniel González‐Moreno, Andrea Matutano, Sonia Peribañez, Inés García‐Consuegra, Massimo Volpe, María Fernández‐Velasco, Luis M. Archiv der Pharmazie, Volume 358, Issue 1, January 2025.A new family of NF‐κB‐inducing kinase (NIK) ligands bearing an imidazolone moiety were synthesized. The best compound showed a dose‐dependent inhibition of p100 to p50 processing in cellular assays, a key step in nuclear factor κB (NF‐κB) activation. Based on computational techniques, a plausible binding mode is proposed.Francisco Maqueda‐Zelaya, Lara Valiño‐Rivas, Ana Milián, Sara Gutiérrez, José Luis Aceña, Javier Garcia‐Marin, Mª Dolores Sánchez‐Niño, Juan J.
