Serum creatinine and albuminuria are the core of most CKD prediction and progression risk models. We have compared the prognostic powers of serum B2M levels with albuminuria, CysC levels, and the CKD‐EPI (CKD‐Epidemiology Collaboration) GFR equations for mortality and CKD progression.
