Negative differential thermal resistance induced by ballistic transport

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2009
Using nonequilibrium molecular-dynamics simulations, we study the temperature dependence of the negative differential thermal resistance that appears in two-segment Frenkel-Kontorova lattices. We apply the theoretical method based on Landauer equation to obtain the relationship between the heat current and the temperature, which states a fundamental ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Investigation on nickel ferrite nanowire device exhibiting negative differential resistance — a first-principles investigation

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2017
The electronic property of NiFe_2O_4 nanowire device is investigated through nonequilibrium Green’s functions (NEGF) in combination with density functional theory (DFT).

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Highly Efficient Classification of Time‐Series Based on Resistive Switching Cluster‐Assembled Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems
The need for high accuracy time‐series classification and pattern recognition tasks is rapidly increasing due to the ubiquitous deployment of the internet of things (IoT) paradigm, such as in the development of brain–computer interfaces.

Examining Solute-Solvent Interactions at the Electrode Double Layer by Impedance Measurements of Proteins: 2. Prothrombin

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2006
The electrochemical behavior of prothrombin (blood coagulation Factor II) from bovine plasma, studied by using cyclic voltammetry, indicate that this protein is strongly adsorbed on the mercury electrode and the adsorption increases with increasing ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Peculiarities of electrooptical characteristics of gallium phosphide light-emitting diodes in high injection level conditions

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2015
Electroluminescence of green N-doped gallium phosphide light-emitting diodes was studied. The negative differential resistance region in the current-voltage characteristics was found at low temperature (Т ≤ 90 К).

Length dependent hysteresis phenomena in negative capacitance field effect transistor

open access: yesJournal of Physics Communications
In this article, we explore a noteworthy aspect of Negative Capacitance FETs (NCFETs): the influence of transistor feature size on hysteresis behavior. The ferroelectric capacitance is directly proportional to the channel length, so as the transistor is ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...
