A WAY TO SELL GOODS WITH NETWORK EXTERNALITIES [PDF]
There are a lot of goods which have network externalities. While the number of players who have such a good is small, they may not get enough utility from the goods. That is, players have an incentive to delay their decision, when they purchase the goods

Spatial Externalities in Agriculture: Empirical Analysis, Statistical Identification, and Policy Implications [PDF]
Spatial externalities can affect economic welfare and landscape pattern by linking farm returns on adjoining parcels of land. While policy can be informed by research that documents spatial externalities, statistically quantifying the presence of ...

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Negative externalities as the engine of growth in an evolutionary context
We present a simple growth model which has two original features: the strategic context considered, which is an evolutionary game, and the growth mechanism described, in which growth is caused by negative externalities.

Counterfeiting and Negative Consumption Externalities – A Closer Look
We extend the work of Grossman and Shapiro (J Econ 103:79–100, 1988) on consumption externalities in prestige goods markets, and model a general aversion towards large levels of output interacting with an aversion towards copies in particular.

Same-Sex Marriage and Negative Externalities
Conventional theory regarding externalities and personal choices implies that in the absence of negative externalities, there is no economic rationale for government to regulate or ban those choices.

The negative externalities of the electricity industry and sustainability
The impact of the energy sector on the environment and the market imperfections resulting from an unvalued negative influence of the production costs has led to the search for new solutions which allow ensuring energy sustainability. The purpose of the study is to analyse internalization of the factors based on the theoretical external factors of the ...
