Integration of single‐cell and bulk RNA‐sequencing data reveals the prognostic potential of epithelial gene markers for prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Prostate cancer is a leading malignancy with significant clinical heterogeneity in men. An 11‐gene signature derived from dysregulated epithelial cell markers effectively predicted biochemical recurrence‐free survival in patients who underwent radical surgery or radiotherapy.

Do Sell-side Analyst Reports Have Investment Value? [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This paper documents new investment value in analyst reports. Analyst narratives embedded with large language models strongly forecast future stock returns, generating significant alpha beyond established analyst-based and fundamental-based factors.

The efficacy of lymph node fine needle aspiration cytology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) of lymph nodes is a safe, easy, cheap and quick diagnostic tool, which involves the examination of a random sample of cells from a lymph node. To assess the distribution of diagnostic categories and the efficacy of

Clinical significance of stratifying prostate cancer patients through specific circulating genes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We tested a specific panel of genes representative of luminal, neuroendocrine and stem‐like cells in the blood of prostate cancer patients, showing predictive value from diagnosis to late stages of disease. This approach allows monitoring of treatment responses and outcomes at specific time points in trajectories.

MET variants with activating N‐lobe mutations identified in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinomas still require ligand stimulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MET variants in the N‐lobe of the kinase domain, found in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinoma, require ligand stimulation to promote cell transformation, in contrast to other RTK variants. This suggests that HGF expression in the microenvironment is important for tumor growth in such patients. Their sensitivity to MET inhibitors opens the way for

Cavitation of Water by Volume-Controlled Stretching [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
A liquid subjected to negative pressure is thermodynamically metastable. Confined within a small volume, negative pressure can build up until cavities form spontaneously. The critical negative pressure for cavitation in water has been theoretically predicted to be in the range of -100 to -200 MPa at room temperature, whereas values around -30 MPa have ...
