Negative priming in sequence learning

2007
We investigated negative priming (NP) in sequence learning, as demonstrated by Cock et al. (2002). The NP effect in sequence learning refers to the observation that Serial Reaction Time performance becomes impaired when participants respond to a sequence they were previously ignoring.

Power transformer protection using an instantaneous-current-value negative sequence differential element

International Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems, 2019
This paper proposes a new algorithm for power transformer differential protection based on the instantaneous-current-value negative sequence current signals, which are reconstructed in discrete time-domain from the negative sequence phasor for the ...

Grid Support During Asymmetrical Faults using Negative Sequence Current Injection

IEEE International Future Energy Electronics Conference, 2019
This paper investigates the effect of injecting negative sequence reactive current into the grid in case of asymmetrical faults. In such conditions, the negative sequence voltage will increase and may cause instability in the system or damage to some ...

Negative sequence voltages in spontaneous atrial fibrillation or flutter

International Journal of Cardiology, 2008
The patho-physiology of initiation of atrial fibrillation (af) or flutter (AF) is not known. Would it be possible that the real explanation is hidden in physics territory but not in medicine? Could it be possible that the heart behaves like a biological generator in physics?

Frequency errors in negative-sequence segregating networks

Proceedings of the IEE - Part IV: Institution Monographs, 1952
The paper examines the errors which are introduced into negative-sequence segregating networks when the system frequency deviates from its nominal value, and describes two frequency-compensated networks in which these errors are reduced to negligible proportions.

Negative sequence losses in turbine generator rotors

2012 XXth International Conference on Electrical Machines, 2012
Negative sequence currents are induced in the rotor of a turbine generator when there is imbalance in the three phase armature currents. By adopting surface impedance boundary conditions to represent the rotor steel, three dimensional finite element methods can be used to determine the effect of barriers to the current flow caused by transverse ...
