Integrating Social Relationships and Personality into MAS-Based Group Recommendations

open access: yesBig Data and Cognitive Computing
Recommender systems aim to predict the preferences of users and suggest items of interest to them in various domains. While traditional recommendation techniques consider users as individuals, some approaches aim to satisfy the needs of a group of people.

High‐Transmission Mid‐Infrared Bandpass Filters using Hybrid Metal‐Dielectric Metasurfaces for CO2 Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
This article presents a hybrid metal‐dielectric metasurface in transmission mode for mid‐infrared (MIR) spectroscopy. Composed of germanium on aluminium cylinders atop a calcium fluoride substrate, the metasurface achieves 80% transmission efficiency at λ = 2.6 µm with a narrow full‐width‐half‐maximum of 0.4 µm.

Multilateral Trade Negotiations, Bilateral Opportunism and the Rules of GATT [PDF]

open access: yes
Trade negotiations occur through time and between the governments of many countries. An important issue is thus whether the value of concessions that a government wins in a current negotiation may be eroded in a future bilateral negotiation to which it ...

3D Microprinting of Structures with Lanthanide‐Based Fluorophores on Optical Fibers for Multiplexed Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Incorporating lanthanide‐based fluorophores into commercial resists for femtosecond direct laser writing enables a novel platform for multiplexed sensing. Porous, periodic, and solid luminescent microstructures fabricated directly on optical fiber tips are presented.
