Neimark-Sacker Bifurcation in Demand-Inventory Model with Stock-Level-Dependent Demand

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2017
An analysis of dynamics of demand-inventory model with stock-level-dependent demand formulated as a three-dimensional system of difference equations with four parameters is considered.

Stability Analysis of a Discrete‐Time Predator–Prey Model Using Piecewise Constant Argument

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
This paper offers a thorough analysis of the discrete‐time predator–prey model obtained by using the piecewise constant argument technique. Our principal findings demonstrate that the coexistence fixed exhibits rich dynamical behavior, undergoing both Neimark–Sacker and period‐doubling bifurcations as ecological parameters vary. These bifurcations lead

Fractional Order Plant‐Herbivore Dynamics: From Stability to Chaos Control

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
This study investigates the dynamic behavior of a discrete‐time plant‐herbivore model incorporating conformable fractional‐order derivatives and a toxin‐dependent functional response. The model is discretized using a piecewise constant argument approach, enabling the analysis of memory effects and nonlocal interactions in ecological dynamics.

Discrete model and non‐linear characteristics analysis of magnetic coupled resonant wireless power transfer system with constant power load

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, Volume 17, Issue 15, Page 2250-2261, 25 November 2024.
The strong non‐linear characteristics inherent in wireless power transmission systems with constant power loads often lead to unstable singular operations in actual systems. Revealing the emergence and evolution mechanism of the non‐linear characteristics of the system is an effective way to analyse and control the singular operation of actual ...

Numerical detection of suppression of quasi‐periodic solutions

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 24, Issue 3, October 2024.
Abstract Dynamical systems can show so‐called quasi‐periodic solutions, which are composed of two or more so‐called incommensurable frequencies. Solving these systems in the time‐domain is not favorable, due to the fact that quasi‐periodic solutions have no finite periodicity, thus it is unclear how long simulations must be carried out in order to ...

Analysis of the Stability and Chaotic Dynamics of an Ecological Model

open access: yesComplexity, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
Modelling has become an eminent tool in the study of ecological systems. Ecological modelling can help implement sustainable development, mathematical models, and system analysis that explain how ecological processes can promote the sustainable management of resources.

Matrix and Inverse Matrix Projective Synchronization of Fractional‐Order Time‐Delay Chaotic Systems with Uncertainty

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
In the present article, the matrix projective synchronization (MPS) and the inverse matrix projective synchronization (IMPS) have been analyzed with fractional‐order chaotic systems with uncertain terms. First, we theoretically discussed both types of synchronizations.

Investigating Global Stability and Bifurcation in an Ecological Dynamical System

open access: yesComplexity, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
We consider a continuous‐time model describing the interaction between phytoplankton and zooplankton using a Holling type‐II response. We then transform this continuous‐time model into a discrete‐time counterpart using a fractional‐order discretization method.

Cournot–Bertrand Duopoly Model: Dynamic Analysis Based on a Computed Cost

open access: yesComplexity, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
In this paper, some mathematical properties and dynamic investigations of a Cournot–Bertrand duopoly game using a computed nonlinear cost are studied. The game is repeated and its evolution is presented by noninvertible map. The fixed points for this map are calculated and their stability conditions are discussed.

A simple model of a speculative housing market [PDF]

open access: yes
We develop a simple model of a speculative housing market in which the demand for houses is influenced by expectations about future housing prices. Guided by empirical evidence, agents rely on extrapolative and regressive forecasting rules to form their ...
