Composition Principles in Forest Nenets Music
Studia Musicologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae, 2003The paper aims at showing how the musical thinking of Forest Nenets differs from those structural patterns that correspond to European music. Experiments and interviews with the informants were used for that purpose. The author's background for the perception of folk music comes from old Estonian runic tunes.

Opaque distributional generalisations in Tundra Nenets
Phonology, 2020Based on primary data from Tundra Nenets, this paper explores phonological patterns which seem to require restrictions on the input, and thus present a particular challenge to Optimality Theory. In these patterns, a contrastive segment appears only in the environments where it is also derived by active alternations in the language.
