Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution, 1996
Nucleotide sequences of portions of the mitochondrial 12S and 16S ribosomal RNA genes were used to extend a recent study of anuran phylogeny (Hay et al., Mol. Biol. Evol. 12: 928-937, 1995) and to further evaluate phylogenetic relationships within the Neobatrachia.

Zootaxa, 2008
Based on morphology, distribution, and on the presence of a novel diploid number (2n = 30 chromosomes), a new species of frog Alsodes norae from the Coastal Range, Valdivia Province temperate Nothofagus forest, Southern Chile, is described. Hypothetical chromosomal rearrangements and the origin of its unusual karyotype are discussed.
