Life Cycle and Pupation Site Preference of Neochetina eichhorniae Warner (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) on Water Hyacinth in Nigeria

The life cycle and pupation site preference of Neochetina eichhorniae were studied in two outdoor experimental aquaria. The results showed that the period take for the egg hatch to larva, was 6.95±0.83 days. The larvae had three instars I. 11.5± 1.20 days: instar II, 12.5±1.88 days and instar III. 49.0±2.21 days.
