Radially local approximation of the drift kinetic equation [PDF]
A novel radially local approximation of the drift kinetic equation is presented. The new drift kinetic equation that includes both ${\bf E} \times {\bf B}$ and tangential magnetic drift terms is written in the conservative form and it has favorable properties for numerical simulation that any additional terms for particle and energy sources are ...

Global effects on neoclassical transport in the pedestal with impurities [PDF]
We present a numerical study of collisional transport in a tokamak pedestal in the presence of non-trace impurities, using the radially global $\delta f$ neoclassical solver PERFECT [M. Landreman et al. 2014 Plasma Phys. Control. Fusion 56 045005]. It is known that in a tokamak core with non-trace impurities present the radial impurity flux opposes the

THE REPRESENTATIVE CONSUMER IN THE NEOCLASSICAL GROWTH MODEL WITH IDIOSYNCRATIC SHOCKS [PDF]
This paper studies a complete-market version of the neoclassical growth model, where agents face idiosyncratic shocks to earnings. We show that if agents possess identical preferences of either the CRRA or the addilog type, then the heterogeneous-agent ...
