A Neodymium-YAG Endolaser

SUMMARY We used a CW-YAG endolaser to photocoagulate the fundus of the rabbit and monkey. We varied the power settings, exposure durations, and probe-retina distances to establish the parameters for threshold and bursting (choroidal hemorrhage)lesions.

Neodymium-YAG Laser Iridotomy

Results of neodymium-YAG laser iridotomy in 34 eyes with narrow drainage angles are reported. Irido-tomies appeared patent on slit-lamp examination in 32 (94%) eyes. Complications included failed patency of iridotomy and acute elevation of intraocular pressure.
