Flexible Cervical Photodynamic Therapy Device

open access: yesTranslational Biophotonics, EarlyView.
This paper aims to design a flexible photodynamic therapy device for the cervix and cervical vault, using an LED array, light guide, and flexible trumpet‐shaped homogenizer. Simulations and tests show output irradiance up to 98 mW/cm2 with < 14.2% variation, offering a low‐cost solution for cervical cancer and precancerous lesions.
