Long‐term immunosuppression of rabbits through oral tacrolimus administration
Animal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.Oral gavage of rabbits with 1.5 mg/kg/d of tacrolimus allows for an efficient long‐term (1 year) immunosuppression with minimal side effects and no loss of animals. lmmunosuppressed rabbits are a convenient animal model to investigate the long‐term efficacy of human allografts in vivo.
