DNA Replication Errors Drive Genome‐Wide Small Inverted Triplication Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study provides insight into the dynamic equilibrium mechanism of a novel structural variant, small inverted triplication (SIT), which is generated by misalignment of the 3’ flap generated under DNA replication stress with palindromic sequence. Alternatively, the end sequence may fold back on itself to form an inverted fragment.

A CASE OF MALIGNANT RENAL NEOPLASM WITH RHABDOID FEATURES IN AN ADULT

open access: yes, 2001
We report a case of malignant neoplasm with rhabdoid features of the kidney in a 68 year old man. To our knowledge malignant rhabdoid tumor of the kidney (MRTK) has been limited to the pediatric age group.

Dual‐Physical‐Field Nanocatalysis: Injectable Hydrogel Enables Piezo‐Photothermal Synergy for Breast Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Piezocatalytic therapy (PCT) harnesses mechanical energy to generate tumor‐lethal reactive oxygen species (ROS), but its efficacy is limited by rapid electron‐hole recombination and poor intratumoral retention. To overcome these limitations, we engineered heterostructured BiOCl@CuO nanosheets embedded in an injectable, conductive ...

TME/NIR Dual‐Responsive Zinc‐Based Targeted Nanoagonist for Multimodal Amplification of STING‐Mediated Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional nanoagonist (cDZ@IP) enables nano‐metabolite–driven multimodal activation of the STING pathway and enhanced immune recognition, achieving potent antitumor immunity and suppressing tumor growth and metastasis. This strategy highlights the rational design of therapeutic metabolites and establishes a new paradigm bridging nanomedicine ...

Clinical Outcome of Surgically Resected Pancreatic Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm According to the Marginal Status: A Single Center Experience

open access: yes, 2010
Background: Surgical resection is the treatment of choice of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) of the pancreas. However, the benefit of clearing resection margin is still controversial.

Locally aggressive recurrent sebaceous carcinoma of the scalp with post-auricular ‘kissing ulcer’: an infrequent skin appendageal neoplasm at unusual location

open access: yesInternational Journal of Research in Medical Sciences
Sebaceous carcinoma is an infrequent malignancy that arises from skin appendageal system. It is usually common in elderly age with slightly female preponderance. Asian population have higher incidence of this malignancy. Most commonly it occurs in orbital region (75%) and rarely this tumour presents in extraocular regions like scalp, face, genitalia ...

Early Detection and Inhibition of Post‐Surgical Cancer Recurrence by Synthetic Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An implantable hydrogel is designed to hold gene transfection agents engineered to turn early recurrent tumor cells into generators of synthetic EVs. These synthetic EVs can express engineered miR‐26a (E‐miR‐26a) for highly sensitive detection and PD‐1 (a PD‐L1‐blocking agent) for therapeutic intervention, thereby enabling early detection and ...

Recurrent solid pseudopapillary neoplasm of the pancreas with hepatic and lymphatic metastasis in a teenager: A case report

open access: yes
Introduction: Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm (SPN) of the pancreas is a rare neoplasm with low malignant potential, predominantly affecting young women. Despite its generally favorable prognosis following complete resection, recurrence or metastasis may ...

Epithelioid Hemangioma of Bone: A Rare Vascular Neoplasm. A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yes, 2022
Epithelioid hemangioma (EH) of bone is a rare benign, albeit locally aggressive vascular neoplasm. It is usually solitary and involves the metaphysis or diaphysis of long tubular bones, especially in the lower extremities.
