Gut‐Liver Translocation of Bacteroides Uniformis Alleviates Advanced Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease by Suppressing Hepatocyte Ferroptosis via Propionic Acid Secretion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Systematic characterization of the liver‐resident microbiota in advanced metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) reveals a consistent depletion of Bacteroides uniformis (B. uniformis) in both hepatic and gut microbial communities. Oral gavage of B.

B Cells are Activated via a Nanoporous Interface that Stabilizes Microvilli and Engages Mechanosensitive Ion Channels

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
B cells can be activated independently of antigen recognition via mechanical stimulation through nanoporous substrates. Exposure to such substrates induced B cell microvilli extension into the pores, intracellular Ca2+ signaling, phosphorylation of signaling proteins, and CD69 expression.

Renal Tubular Epithelial CRLF1 Interacts With ITGB1 to Accelerate Fibrosis During the Transition From AKI to CKD

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
During renal fibrosis, SMAD3 acts as a transcription factor for CRLF1, promoting its expression and secretion. CRLF1 then binds to ITGB1 via an autocrine mechanism, activating the PI3K‐AKT signaling pathway to mediate renal fibrosis. This accelerates the progression from AKI to CKD, highlighting the therapeutic potential of targeting CRLF1 for ...

Soft Hypoxia‐Adaptive Bioelectronics Integrating PEDOT:PSS/Polydopamine/Enzyme Biocomposites for Closed‐Loop Therapeutics of Chronic Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hypoxia‐adaptive bioelectronics based on poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS)/polydopamine (PDA)/enzyme biocomposites couple O2‐centric biosensing with embedded O2 therapy to address oxygen‐deficient chronic wounds. Local O2 provision restores enzyme‐based metabolite sensing, while catalase‐mediated oxygen generation and

In Situ Programmable Modulation of Hydrogel Stiffness for Stage‐Adaptive Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Near‐infrared (NIR) irradiation triggers Ca2+ release from thermoresponsive nanocarriers, enabling in situ stiffening of an adaptive hydrogel from a soft to a stiff state, thereby sequentially supporting mesenchymal stromal cell stemness and osteogenic differentiation for stage‐adaptive bone regeneration.
