Moose Survival and Habitat-Associated Risk of Endoparasites. [PDF]
We observed high rates of adult and calf moose survival in New York State, with mortality primarily due to disease associated with giant liver fluke infections. Calf mortality risk increased with increasing use of wetlands, where they can acquire giant liver fluke infections, and decreased with higher amounts of nutritional energy available.

Central Nervous System Vasculitis Due to Ehrlichia canis in a Dog. [PDF]
A 4‐year‐old spayed female mixed‐breed dog presented with a 2‐month history of vestibulo‐cerebellar ataxia and right head tilt. Clinical and MRI findings indicated right paradoxical vestibular syndrome with multifocal brain lesions and meningeal enhancement. Haematology revealed lymphocytosis, thrombocytopenia and hyperglobulinemia.

Aborted bovine foetuses were collected from dairy cattle in Khorasan Razavi province. Brain samples of aborted foetuses were tested to detect N.caninum infection using nested PCR and histopathological examination.
