Effects are context‐dependent, vary among species and forest types, and remain poorly studied in tropical forests, highlighting critical gaps in understanding nutrient cycling and ecosystem functioning.

We identify thermal limitations, reduced travel efficiency, and significant spatial saturation.

Leukocyte profiles reveal sex and age differences in immune investment in a polygynous bat
Journal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.Analysis of over 500 blood cell profiles, including repeat samples over four years, reveals that male bats from a long‐lived species with a polygynous mating system invest more in innate than adaptive immunity. Investment in innate immunity increases with age, as estimated by a DNA methylation clock and mark‐recapture data.
