The Nep Rosat Survey [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1998
The Rosat All-Sky Survey (Trümper 1991, Adv. Spce Res., 2, 241) has its largest exposure times, approaching 10 ks, at the ecliptic poles where the scan circles overlap. The North Ecliptic Pole (NEP) region covers a 9° X 9° field, and contains a total of 465 X-ray sources detected at > 4σ in the 0.1-2.4 keV.

PKCε promotes HuD-mediated neprilysin mRNA stability and enhances neprilysin-induced Aβ degradation in brain neurons. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Amyloid-beta (Aβ) peptide accumulation in the brain is a pathological hallmark of all forms of Alzheimer's disease. An imbalance between Aβ production and clearance from the brain may contribute to accumulation of neurotoxic Aβ and subsequent synaptic ...
