Bioenergy Potential of Europe's Perennial and Biennial Wildflowers: A Combustion Performance Benchmark

Eight wild plant species were investigated as co‐substrates for pellet combustion. A long‐term field trial examined dry matter yield and biochemical composition, influencing combustion properties. Results show suitable combustion properties, comparable to Sida, with higher ash melting temperatures than Miscanthus, due to elevated calcium and magnesium.

Metformin Restores Mitochondrial Function and Neurogenesis in POLG Patient‐Derived Brain Organoids

Patient‐derived POLG‐mutant cortical organoids reveal neuronal subtype‐specific mitochondrial and synaptic defects, with dopaminergic neurons most affected. Metformin treatment restores neuronal identity, mitochondrial function, and excitability, increased mtDNA maintenance, and reprogrammed metabolism via TCA and redox pathways.

CircPVT1 Promotes Lung Metastasis and Tumor Progression in Renal Cell Carcinoma by Encoding the cP104aa Peptide and Targeting EIF4A3

This study reveals that circPVT1 promotes the renal cell carcinoma lung metastasis and tumor progression through encoding the cP104aa peptide and directly binds with EIF4A3, which jointly regulates the target gene c‐MYC. Abstract Circular RNA (circRNA) plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of renal cell carcinoma (RCC).

Cancer Immunotherapy via Disruption of Integrin αvβ3 and CD47 Costabilization on Cancer Cell Surface

This study identifies a cancer‐specific interaction between CD47 and integrin αvβ3 that facilitates immune evasion. A rationally designed peptide, PSFL‐NK13, disrupts this axis, enhancing macrophage‐mediated phagocytosis and suppressing tumor growth without inducing anemia.
