Measuring Transient Interfacial pH Changes With Rotating Ring–Disk Electrochemistry: Theory and Experimental Considerations

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 11, 3 June 2026.
A combined analytical and transient simulation framework is developed to quantify interfacial pH dynamics in rotating ring–disk electrochemistry (RRDE) during proton–coupled electron transfer (PCET) reactions. Experiments show strong deviations from theory due to iR–driven disk–ring electrical cross–talk that mimics pH signals and can overshadow true ...

Synergistic CuMoP Nanocomposite‐Modified Carbon Electrode for Ultrasensitive Detection of Aspirin

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 11, 3 June 2026.
A CuMoP ternary system‐modified screen‐printed carbon electrode is developed via a one‐step electrodeposition strategy for the electrochemical detection of aspirin. The synergistic Cu–Mo–P redox network promotes efficient electron–proton coupling, enabling reliable and reproducible sensing.

Enhanced Terahertz Thermoelectricity Via Engineered Van Hove Singularities and Nernst Effect in Moiré Superlattices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 50, 22 June 2026.
Moiré band engineering in graphene/hexagonal boron nitride–based superlattices unlocks van Hove singularities (VHSs) for terahertz (THz) optoelectronics. Tuning the Fermi level near these singularities, associated with secondary neutrality points (SNPs), enhances the photothermoelectric response.

Fast Track to the Overdoped Regime of Superconducting YBa2Cu3O7‐δ Thin Films via Electrochemical Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 46, 8 June 2026.
Overdoping high temperature superconductors, such as YBa2Cu3O7‐δ (YBCO), is expected to maxime the critical current density by optimising the condensation energy for a given defect landscape, providing new thrust for the development of fusion enabling coated conductors. Here, precise oxygen control is achieved via an electrochemical method allowing for
