Subversion of Atypical Mucin Traps by a Spore‐Coat Effector Blocks Cellular Immunity in Drosophila
While the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium robertsii can evade insect humoral immunity, its subversion of cellular defenses is still elusive. We identify Eac1 as a spore‐coat protein essential for infecting drosophilids by targeting atypical mucins (Sgf1 and Sgf2), which can entrap spores in a gel matrix and thereby facilitate hemocyte encapsulation.

Supramolecular Degraders: An Emerging Paradigm in Targeted Protein Degradation
Dynamic supramolecular assembly reshapes targeted protein degradation by coordinating modular degrader construction, delivery, functional integration, and intracellular assembly or activation across proteasomal, endosomal–lysosomal, and autophagy–lysosomal pathways.

Micro/Nanoscale Acoustic Manipulation: From Particle Control to Autonomous Microswimmers
This conceptual framework illustrates acoustic technology as a multifunctional platform enabling passive particle manipulation across scales and autonomous propulsion of microswimmers. ABSTRACT Acoustic manipulation and propulsion technologies have emerged as powerful platforms for micro/nanoscale control, enabled by their non‐contact operation, label ...

Nerve damage and entrapment syndromes
In this chapter, the pathological classification of nerve damage using the Sunderland classification is described. The neurophysiological findings that allow distinction between neurapraxia, axonotmesis, and neurotmesis are highlighted.

ABSTRACT Mechanophores with mechanochromic properties have attracted significant attention as force‐responsive materials for structural sensing. However, their applications remain mainly limited to qualitative force visualization, as direct and quantitative extraction of mechanical parameters such as stress and strain from mechanochromic responses has ...

Endoscopic Sciatic Nerve Decompression in the Prone Position—An Ischial-Based Approach
Deep gluteal syndrome is described as sciatic nerve entrapment in the region deep to the gluteus maximus muscle. The entrapment can occur from the piriformis muscle, fibrous bands, blood vessels, and hamstrings.

Ulnar Artery Entrapment of the Median Nerve
Entrapment of the median nerve is a common focal neuropathy. Many etiological factors have been implicated in this neural compression including inflammation, synovial hypertrophy, ligamentous or fascial bands, tumours, aberrant muscles, trauma ...

In Situ CO2‐Induced Hydrogels for Enhancing Carbon Sequestration in Saline Aquifers
A novel integrated method that combines in situ CO2‐induced phase‐transition hydrogels formed by a C22‐tailed tertiary amine dispersion with tailored deep eutectic solvents to increase CO2 sequestration in saline aquifers. ABSTRACT Carbon sequestration in saline aquifers underpins global net‑zero emission goals, yet existing CO2 storage capacity ...
