Image database system for glaucoma diagnosis support [PDF]
Tato práce popisuje přehled standardních a pokročilých metod používaných k diagnose glaukomu v ranném stádiu. Na základě teoretických poznatků je implementován internetově orientovaný informační systém pro oční lékaře, který má tři hlavní cíle.

Biomechanical, ultrastructural, and electrophysiological characterization of the non-human primate experimental glaucoma model. [PDF]
Laser-induced experimental glaucoma (ExGl) in non-human primates (NHPs) is a common animal model for ocular drug development. While many features of human hypertensive glaucoma are replicated in this model, structural and functional changes in the ...

SHORT TERM EFFECT OF HEMODIALYSIS ON PERIPAPILLARY RETINAL NERVE FIBER LAYER AND MACULAR THICKNESS
Objective: To determine the thicknesses of retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and macula by fourier-domain (FD) optical coherence tomography (OCT) in diabetic patients with end-stage renal failure (ESRF) undergoing hemodialysis.

Diagnostic Ability of Macular Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness Using New Segmentation Software in Glaucoma Suspects [PDF]
Purpose. To assess the capacity of internal retinal layer thickness measurements made at the macula using new spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (OCT) software to distinguish between healthy subjects and those with suspected glaucoma.

This study presents the BioCLEAR system, a highly transparent and conductive neural electrode array composed of silver nanowires (AgNWs) and doped PEDOT:PSS, enabling neural recordings with minimal optical artifacts. When integrated with a GRIN lens, this cost‐effective neural implant allows simultaneous electrophysiological recording and GCaMP6‐based ...

Retinal nerve fiber layer thinning in Parkinson disease
Retinal dopamine loss in Parkinson disease (PD) is reflected by visual neurophysiological dysfunction. We measured the thickness of the circumpapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) in PD patients using optical coherence tomography. The thickness in the inferior quadrant of PD patients (147 +/- 20 microns) was significantly thinner than that of ...

While host structures are known to enhance the reversibility and safety of lithium metal deposition, their additional volume and weight often decrease the battery's energy density and specific energy. By combining a lightweight and porous scaffold of electrospun polymer with a thinner separator, this article demonstrates a simultaneous improvement of ...

Shellular materials form spontaneously by dip coating the primitive triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) wireframe in an aqueous solution of lyotropic liquid crystalline graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets mixed with polymers. Regulated by surface tension, GO nanosheets align on the polymer soap film as the stress builds up during drying.
