Built-in Bernal gap in large-angle-twisted monolayer-bilayer graphene
Atomically thin materials offer multiple opportunities for layer-by-layer control of their electronic properties. While monolayer graphene (MLG) is a zero-gap system, Bernal-stacked bilayer graphene (BLG) acquires a finite band gap when the symmetry ...

Magnetically-driven colossal supercurrent enhancement in InAs nanowire Josephson junctions
Physical details of a Josephson junction may drastically modify the properties of supercurrent. Here, the authors observe a colossal enhancement of the critical supercurrent in a Josephson junction subject to a perpendicular magnetic field, indicating ...

Objective Despite guideline recommendations, long‐term glucocorticoid (GC) use is common in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). We conducted a clinician survey nested within a large registry to identify patient and clinician factors associated with GC use. Methods Clinicians contributing patients to the CorEvitas Rheumatoid Arthritis Registry were surveyed ...

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Impact of temporal resolution in single particle tracking analysis
Temporal resolution is a key parameter in the observation of dynamic processes, as in the case of single molecules motions visualized in real time in two-dimensions by wide field (fluorescence) microscopy, but a systematic investigation of its effects in

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.
