PRC2.1 Coordinates Peri‐Nucleolar H3K27me3‐Enriched Heterochromatin Organization and NPM1 Pentamerization to Maintain Nucleolar Integrity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PRC2.1(PCL2)‐coordinated H3K27me3‐enriched PNH establishes a spatial scaffold crucial for nucleolar integrity. As a crucial coordinator, PCL2 links PRC2.1 to chromatin organization and NPM1 assembly. This network‐based model reveals how chromatin modifications and nucleolar components cooperatively maintain nucleolar architecture, revealing novel ...

A Comparison of Confidence Interval Methods of Fixed Effect in Nested Error Regression Model

open access: yesSDÜ Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2016
Linear mixed-effects models are very popular and powerful tools in many scientific fields such as zoology, biology, and education.  Estimators of fixed effects do not only depend on the variances of error terms but they also depend on random terms in mixed-effect models.

A Nested DUAL-axis Accelerometer with Enhanced Temperature Robustness for Testing Across the Entire Operational Temperature Range

open access: yesMeasurement Science Review
This paper investigates a nested biaxial micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) accelerometer with low coupling error, derives the kinetic model equations of the accelerometer, and performs finite element simulations of the operating modes and ...

HNRNPU K181 Lactylation Drives Cervical Cancer Growth by Upregulating PHGDH and Reprogramming Serine Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate in cervical cancer induces HNRNPU K181 lactylation, opposed by NAA50‐mediated acetylation and suppressed by Pazopanib. This lactylation enhances HNRNPU binding to PHGDH pre‐mRNA exon 1, maintaining exon 1‐containing transcripts and mRNA stability, thereby activating serine metabolism.

Best prediction under a nested error model with log transformation

open access: yes, 2014
In regression models involving economic variables such as income, log transformation is typically taken to achieve approximate normality and stabilize the variance. However, often the interest is predicting individual values or means of the variable in the original scale.

A ten-year (2012–2021) fine-resolution (1 km, hourly) precipitation dataset over southeastern Tibetan Plateau

open access: yesScientific Data
Intense sub-daily precipitation on the Tibetan Plateau (TP) can trigger a cascade of natural hazards (flash floods, debris flows, etc.), causing significant environmental impacts. Current precipitation products for the TP often lack sufficient spatial or

Large‐Scale Genomics Reveals Three‐Source Ancestry and Layered Adaptation to High Altitude in Tibetan Chickens

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome analysis of 1,054 chickens reveals three ancestral sources (NWC, SYA, and SHF) with distinct temporal entry patterns into the Tibetan Plateau. Route‐specific selection scans, calibrated against a demographic null, suggest complementary functional enrichments—vascular homeostasis (NWC), calcium signaling and cardiac adaptation (SYA), and ...

Poverty Mapping in Small Areas Under a Twofold Nested Error Regression Model

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Statistical Society Series A: Statistics in Society, 2017
Summary Poverty maps at local level might be misleading when based on direct (or area-specific) estimators obtained from a survey that does not cover adequately all the local areas of interest. In this case, small area estimation procedures based on assuming common models for all the areas typically provide much more reliable poverty ...

Introgressed Variation in TaMYB7‐A1 Drives Graded Dormancy and Climate‐Adaptive Pre‐Harvest Sprouting Resistance in Wheat

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TaMYB7‐A1 directly activates TaABI5 to enhance ABA signaling and regulate ABA‐GA homeostasis, enforcing seed dormancy. Its superior allele, derived from wild einkorn introgression, harbors a MITE insertion that elevates expression and two amino acid substitutions that enhance transcriptional activity, collectively generating graded PHS resistance for ...
