Effects of Nitrogen Nutrition and Water Deficit on Net Photosynthetic Rate and Chlorophyll Fluorescence in Winter Wheat

open access: yesJournal of Plant Physiology, 2000
Summary The responses of photosynthetic gas exchange and Chi fluorescence to nitrogen nutrition were studied under well-watered and drought conditions in winter wheat leaves. Nitrogen deficiency and water deficit strongly reduced the photosynthetic activity at light saturation level.

Dynamic Simulation of the Crown Net Photosynthetic Rate for Young Larix olgensis Henry Trees [PDF]

open access: yesForests, 2019
Numerical integration of the instantaneous net photosynthetic rate (An) is a common method for calculating the long-term CO2 uptake of trees, and accurate dynamic simulation of the crown An has been receiving substantial attention. Tree characteristics are challenging to assess given their aerodynamically coarse crown properties, spatiotemporal ...

Effect of Enhanced Ultraviolet-B Radiation on Fruit Maturity and Quality and Leaf Photosynthesis in ‘Guifei’ Mango

open access: yesHortScience, 2022
To investigate the characteristics of photosynthetic physiological changes in leaves of Mangifera indica L. cv. Guifei under enhanced ultraviolet (UV)-B radiation, natural light-exposed trees were used as controls and 96 kJ·m−2·d−1 enhanced UV-B ...

Effects of O3 stress on photosynthesis of trees [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2022
The effects of elevated O3 (O3) on photosynthetic characteristics of urban trees were studied in an open-top air chamber. The results showed that net photosynthetic rate (Pn), transpiration rate (Et), stomatal conductance (Gs) and water use efficiency ...

Changes in peanut canopy structure and photosynthetic characteristics induced by an arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus in a nutrient-poor environment

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
A well-developed canopy structure can increase the biomass accumulation and yield of crops. Peanut seeds were sown in a soil inoculated with an arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF) and uninoculated controls were also sown.

Papaya (Carica papaya L.) Leaf Area Estimation and Single-leaf Net Photosynthetic CO2 Assimilation Rate Following Leaf Defoliation and Fruit Thinning

open access: yesHortScience, 2020
Papaya (Carica papaya L.) leaves are large, up to 70 cm wide, and frequently deeply lobed, with seven to 13 major veins. The scan width of current handheld digital leaf area instruments is generally less than 15 cm.
