Shaping Carbon Nitrides for Advanced Macrostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review examines how carbon nitride can be shaped through a range of printing and interfacial assembly methods. By bringing together additive manufacturing and liquid–liquid structuring concepts, carbon nitride is moving beyond its traditional powder‐based photocatalyst form toward digitally designed robust macroscale architectures with high design

Evolution in the photosynthetic oxygen rate of a Cd-resistant strain of Dictyosphaerium chlorelloides by changes in light intensity and temperature

open access: yes, 2020
Environmental factors such as temperature and light are the most determinants in the photosynthetic productivity in microalgae. However, under extreme of these conditions, certain resistant microalgae strains possess additional abilities such as growth ...

Seasonality in CO2 and H2O flux at an Eastern Amazonian Rain Forest [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Previous studies of CO2 fluxes in Amazonia have suggested seasonal variation in net ecosystem exchange. We find little evidence of this seasonality at a new site in eastern Amazonia, despite the expectation that this site would be particularly sensitive ...

Root‐Stimulated Movements in Mimosa Pudica for Biohybrid Robotic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that thermal and electrical stimulation of Mimosa pudica root induces movement of the petiole and pinnules without direct stimulation of the aerial organs, thereby enabling a plant‐based robotic gripper and providing a foundation for the development of intelligent and sustainable systems.
