Recent Advances in Laser‐Induced Graphene‐Based Gas Sensors: From Sensing Mechanisms to Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

Net primary productivity in a Tropical Dry Forest of northern Colombia

open access: yesRevista de Ciencias Agrícolas
Tropical dry forests are the world's second most relevant forest type, home to unique vegetation and highly threatened by human activity. This study aimed to determine changes in plant biomass within a tree-hectare permanent plot of tropical dry forest ...

The trophic distribution of biomass in ecosystems with co-occurring wildlife and livestock

open access: yesScientific Reports
Trophic interactions regulate populations, but anthropogenic processes influence primary productivity and consumption by both herbivore and carnivore species.

Tracking temporal dynamics trajectories and drivers of net primary productivity in the Yellow River Basin of China

open access: yesEcological Indicators
The response of vegetation to global climate change and human activity is diverse, which includes both linear and nonlinear changes. However, the understanding of the characterization and driving mechanism of this differential response remains unclear ...

Forest Stand Structure and Primary Production in relation to Ecosystem Development, Disturbance, and Canopy Composition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Temperate forests are complex ecosystems that sequester carbon (C) in biomass. C storage is related to ecosystem-scale forest structure, changing over succession, disturbance, and with community composition.

Bacterial Outer Membrane Vesicles in Potentiating Cancer Vaccines: Progress and Prospects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bacterial outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) have emerged as versatile platforms for cancer vaccine development owing to their intrinsic immunostimulatory properties and high engineering flexibility. This review summarizes OMV biology, immune mechanisms, and engineering strategies that enhance vaccine efficacy, discusses key translational challenges, and ...

Dose‐Dependent Reprogramming of Chromatin Accessibility by SOX4 Drives the Transcriptional Response to Iron Overload

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.

Net primary productivity of forest trees: A review of current issue [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Forest growth is important both economically and ecologically and it follows a predictable general trend with age. Generally, the growth of all forests accelerates as canopies develop in young forests and declines substantially soon after the maximum ...
